Patience is rewarded

Rarely do I find something that I just can't get out of my head. About three weeks ago I found a panel top table that just sang to my heart. Three times a week, for three weeks, I went to visit this table at my favorite thrift store. After many, many days of contemplation, I finally told my sweet hubby about my beloved find.

Even though we recently built our own dining table, he agreed that if I couldn't get it out of my head, then I needed to go get it. So, with his blessings, I went to visit it one last time -- AND BROUGHT THAT BABY HOME!

Best$25 I've spent in a long, long time! The top needs refinished, but luckily I had stain that matches and poly to seal it already in my stash. I'll reveal it's glory as soon as it's finished.

  6. If it was calling out to you, you just had to give it a new home!! :-) I'm sure it'll look great once you refinish it -- although it actually looks pretty good just as it is :-)

  17. It's gorgeous - you know, our little town is so design-y, even the thrift stores know they can make a pretty penny off of stuff - that would have been $150 at our charity shop. That is a gorgeous table, and you're so brave to jump into refinishing. Can't wait to see!
