While chopping red peppers for the freezer tonight, I made a decision to be happy in the activity instead of dreading the chore. Having heathly ingredients for my family a blessing. The aroma & colors were amazing, too. Enjoying the ordinary is something I have to constantly strive to remember....
but I'm working on it day by day.
Oh! And 68 cent red bell peppers at Kroger definitely works for me.

Those peppers are the perfect red. And this is a perfect post to link up to Tuesdays Unwrapped at my blog today! Too bad Mister Linky isn't cooperating at the moment. Won't you link up if you get a chance?
ReplyDeleteYou are so right... stop and enjoy the little things
ReplyDeleteI just re~decorated my kitchen with red accents... how I would love a basket of those red peppers!
Beautiful red peppers! Thanks for the reminder to enjoy even the simplest chores.
ReplyDeleteI do too! Love admiring the food while being prepared... it makes me feel good just by looking at it. Hugs, Vanessa
ReplyDeleteThe peppers really look pretty, but I have just spent the better part of an hour just browsing your blog - and I just love it - all of it!!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know -
Happy Tuesday Evening -
Love to see fresh produce like that. I have yet to understand why those peppers are so pricey most of the time around here.

The sweetest things are those that remind us to be grateful!
ReplyDeleteYour picture is so eye catching. Looks like it could be in a magazine. Beautiful color!

Great reminder to enjoy even the chores!
ReplyDeleteI love things like that while I am doing them, but always put them off because it feels like it is going to be a chore. Once started, I wonder why I put it off!
ReplyDeleteTomorrow, it is nectarine mint jam for me. I am getting a bit excited.
I love red peppers.....but I never find them for 68 cents!
ReplyDeleteGood find, friend.
Thanks for sharing!
those are good looking peppers. But I like the green ones. They don't burn when I eat them.
ReplyDeleteFresh, good vegetables really are a blessing! Even though they're more work than some other foods. Good for you for choosing to see chores with new eyes! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is an amazing sale! Yay!
ReplyDelete:)
I don't always cherish the moment as I'm chopping my bell peppers, but I sure love it when I'm pulling them out of the freezer!
ReplyDeleteI need to do the same thing. Sometimes (often) we get too caught up with things in life and just need to be thankful for every moment we have! Thanks for opening our eyes.
ReplyDeleteA great reminder--and a lovely photo! Wanted to share a neat product--not to take away from the ritual of chopping fresh peppers of course--but Whole Foods and Trader Joe's both sell chopped frozen peppers (Whole Foods calls them "Stoplight Peppers" because they're red, yellow, and green :) !) These are great to have on hand for when you stir fry, etc. Just in case you're ever too rushed to enjoy the chopping :)
ReplyDeleteLove red peppers. Great way to look at the job!
ReplyDeleteI will have to check and see if our Kroger has this sale!
What will you do with the red peppers? I know they will go in the freezer but what types of dishes will you make? I just got 99 cent red peppers today at Albertsons. I was excited!
ReplyDeleteWe too shop Ralphs (Kroegers) This time of year, I try to shop Farmer's Market when possible. I love the tree ripened fruit, instead of the rock hard fruit bought at the store.
