Hooked on Pier 1 Imports

After a day at Nashville Shores (which pales in comparison to Point Mallard, if you ever need to know), we didn't have much energy left in us. We did, however, have enough left to stop at a couple of our favorite stores on the way back home. Leaving the Galleria, we passed Pier 1, which I absolutely adore. Hubby pulled in the car at the last second, letting me get my fix (which is soooo sweet, especially since they closed the one that is much closer to us.)

I normally just go there to soak up the inspiration, and maybe buy a little something I find on clearance. Today we hit the motherload! Since we are trying to graduate to all glass drinking glasses, I've been searching for ones that were pretty, yet reasonably priced. I found these for 68 cents each, on clearance from the original $3 price. They only had 4 blue ones, so I got 4 pinky beige ones to go along with them for the same great price. $5.44 for 8 pretty glasses was, in my humble opinion, a great score.

I also found these cute little birdies, not on sale, but a steal nonetheless at $3 for the pair. They are salt & pepper shakers that will probably never be filled, but will definitely grace a shelf in my kitchen.

Although I didn't get pics, I also got some great tiki torches for $2.88 each, which will look great around our new porch and hopefully keep the bugs away. Now I just have to figure out where the cheapest place to get the torch fluid is....

  6. Love Pier One -- got a great vase there this week, shaped like an ear of corn! And I plan on getting a couple of chairs soon -- before the sale ends.
And I may need those birds....

  8. I love the glasses!

I don't think I have ever been in Pier 1. I'll have to check it out. We pass one each time we go to the Mall.

  19. We had The Pier here in UK, and I wonder was it the same? Anyway, The Pier has now closed all its stores here, and I really miss it. :(

    Lovely purchases and bargains.

  21. If you were at Nashville Shores, you must be in my vicinity. We're only about 50 miles from Nashville. Great finds at Pier 1--we have one nearby and I never seem to get over there. I will definitely have to do better!

  23. We're the opposite direction--about 45 min north of Nashville near the KY line.
