Remember all those shells I found at the flea market this week? I layered three of the largest, prettiest ones into a vase (also found this weekend). I dug out all the pretty white coral and placed it into a bowl I already had. Beachy vibe without the big bucks!
Then I took the rest of the shells and stacked them into a shallow metal basket and perched my feathered friend on top.
My sweet friend also sent me this seashell ball. I love her!
Beachy art keeps creeping into my home, and this is another painting of mine, done for my girls beachy bathroom.
Although we live a long way from the beach, I still love that sandy vibe!
Now it's your turn!

Just my luck, we had a really bad thunderstorm earlier that knocked out our internet for awhile. Even now, it's fading in and out. :o I'm off to visit as many others as I can in case the connection goes out again. Thanks for hosting! :)

ReplyDeletehi Gina,
ReplyDeleteFor a minute there I thought I was looking at some of MY shells!! We have the same thoughts when it comes to beachy design with stuff found for free on the beach, or for almost free at a flea market. Nice job creating a beachy feel in your home, no need for a coast nearby!

Shells never go out of style! I remember filling a clear base lamp with finds from the Gulf of Mexico in the 70s. Even had a teacart displaying shell from purchases made over the years. One of my favorite things at my parent's home is their powder room - the counter displays Mom's corral collection. Great post!
