All day on Sunday I spent the day puttering around painting out our ugly 1970's hand-me-down lovely heirloom bedroom furniture. You might wanna stop back by for Transformation Thursday to see that reveal. Once I got it all finished, I knew there were a few other elements that needed a little better refining. I had a wobbly little side table beside my bed that didn't really serve the purpose. So, I gathered up the leather suitcase and pic-a-nic baskets that I'd been collecting. Three did the trick.
Remember that $1 leather suitcase I bought earlier in the summer at a yard sale? And do you recognize the $3 basket I bought just this week? She got a pretty coat of Heirloom White to bring her back to life. On top is a $5 find from eons ago, found in a little antique store near Hunstville. Now I have plenty of room to hide magazines, old photos and such, and it's practical to boot.

Hello Miss Gina~I've just strolled into your blog for my first visit...I've enjoyed taking a peek at your past posts. What beauty! You've got so many wonderful treasures.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing that can cheer me up as I watch summer come to a close is... the anticipation of fall and all the autumnal colors that come with it and the inspiration it provides for creating. what a whimsical nightstand. I love that you can use the wicker baskets to store bedding/linens for your guests. I have such limited space in my small guest rooms this would be ideal for my nooks.
I've bookmarked you in my favs.
I look forward to coming by your charming blog again.
Come by for a visit. Your company would be nice.
Sweet wishes,
Sara
