Christmas Cones

I see these in magazines and on blogs every year, but never make them for some strange reason. Tonight, Bre and I had a little free time and whipped up a few to add a little Christmasy touch to our kitchen.

I can see them being filled with goodies for friends and family.

Oh so easy and pretty, too.

What do you do to Christmas
up your home in ten minutes?

  2. Ooh I love these little cones. Thanks for sharing. I believe I am going to have to give them a try.

If I only have ten minutes to whip up a little Christmas cheer. Drag out the tablecloths, and sometimes I drape them over the couch or the side chair, just as a throw. I always have cinamon sticks on hand, and I add them to a little tray with Christmas balls or pinecones. You can always tie red, pink or cream colored bows to everything. I tie them to the shower rings on my curtain in the bathrooms, tie them around the center of my towels when I am expecting company. I even tie them around the handles to my china cabinet. Just sitting out candles can give a room a Christmas llok. And that my dear is my 10 minutes worth of fame. Thanks for asking me. I could do more with an additional 10 minutes. Stop by soon.

  3. I am stealing this idea. Done.

To "Christmas up" my house quickly, I turn on a vintage Christmas record, light a candle and spray some carmel corn house spray. People always say that the house smells like carmel corn when they walk in!

  4. I've never seen anything like that. It's easy, yet so unique. Why don't you post it at my linky party tomorrow -- The Boardwalk Bragfest? You can also enter my giveaway! I hope to see you, and bring those darling containers with you :)

  6. Hi Gina !
I have been wanting to make these and have picked up some paper I thought would be perfect to do this project. Your cones look great and would be fun to fill with treats :) Now I need to get my cones done!

  11. I love the cones and I'm thinking that making some ahead and having them ready to fill with little treats for last minute (or unexpected gifts) would be a great idea. Thanks!

  15. Those little cones are so cute! To "Christmas Up" my house I love to set out holiday scented candles - and use them! - and I love putting out a few garlands wrapped with lights. I already have one up on my mantle, and I am getting into the Christmas spirit early this year...I already have the Christmas Carols going and everything! ;)

  19. I love how you have them hanging. I bought paper to make some for one of my Christmas trees, but I tink I like your ideal better.
    Very clerver and cute.

  20. I ask for fresh garland at Home Depot and drape those everywhere. It smells Christmasy in no time flat. Those cones are adorable!

  21. I love these! Did you use pages from a hymnal? Are the songs Christmas carols?

I got to guest post over at Edie's Life in Grace today, and I shared the story of my fudge. It takes a little longer than 10 minutes to make--but not a lot longer! And it's the best I've ever eaten. I've been making it for 20 years, and I've never had it fail.

Thanks for sharing this idea along with so many other wonderful ones. :)

  23. Very cute cones! Christmas in 10 minutes? A bowl full of Christmas ornaments or the tiny faux tree I put on my kitchen counter.

  24. These are SO pretty! I love how simple they are, and yet they really make a statement - especially the way you've grouped them together on the hooks. Great job...
