Welcome once again to Transformation Thursday! It's the one day of the week we all get together to celebrate getting stuff done. No matter if you've been coming around for quite a while or this is your first time, everyone is welcome to share their projects, big or small. Just link up at the bottom of this post.
This week is all about ways I hope to transform my business and my life this year. The Nester has inspired me to actually write down my goals, which is something I've never done. I'm a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants kinda girl - so resolutions really aren't my thing. A to do list? That's more my style.
So I made three - 'cause I'm a dork like that!
Business List:
Set specific work hours - and stick to them
Schedule the week to tackle different aspects of my business
Work on branding and packaging
Organize my work space
Organize my product area
Be more intentional in purchases - less impulse buying
Home Projects:
Build kitchen table
Find, buy and install kitchen chandys
Finish out master bedroom closet
Rebuild the {Ford Pinto Ugly} fireplace
Make drapery for living room (I'm still searching for fabric!)
Finish living room beadboard
Paint living room
Replace ceiling room
Buy new sofa
Recover old sofa, move to kitchen seating space
Renovate girls' bathroom
Redecorate Hannah's bedroom
Redecorate Lauren's bedroom
Personal Goals:
Complete my wardrobe with fabulous clothes
Learn to make {really good} pizza dough from scratch
Learn to make slipcovers
Plant an herb garden
Plant an herb garden
Plant more flowers
Ok.... so maybe I won't get it all done - but at least I have some direction!
And, from the looks of the home projects list - I'll have plenty to blog about, too :)

Want to see what other's are planning to do? Head over to The Nester's!

Soooo.... whatcha got? I wanna see and so does everybody else! Just put your PERMALINK into the linky, and please link back here so everyone can find the great ideas. DO NOT link to an Etsy shop, online store or other selling venue. Be sure to say hi to your neighbors - it is a party after all.

ReplyDeleteI made a list like that for myself! I'm not sure about getting it all done either but, as you said, at least I have a direction! :)
ReplyDeleteI also want to construct a new kitchen table this year. I'm going for a plank, old pub style kind of dealio.

Hi Gina - Inspiring post. Love your lists and candor. I haven't made a list yet or made any New Year's resolutions but I do feel myself gaining resolve to get outside more, learn new skills, and enjoy the beauty around me. Thanks for hosting this fun party.
ReplyDeleteBest to you ... Lynn @ Cottage and Creek
This is one of the best lists I've seen! Let me know if you find a way to tackle the "set hours and stick to them" goal. I'm SUPER bad at that. Boo. :)

Aloha,

Wow, that's quite the list of things to do! (Sounds familiar, too...) I'm esp intrigued by the sofa re-do/move into kitchen; would love to see that when it's done!
ReplyDeleteHey Gina, My son has a website that has a great recipe for pizza dough, but it requires a bread machine. (At least that's how we make it.) Here's the link:

I noticed that the header on the page is "Whole Wheat Bread/Rolls", but it is the pizza dough. His spelling is atrocious, but the pizza dough is great! Enjoy.
Thanks for your great blog.
