Once upon a time, in a mystical place far, far away was a magical land called Pottery Barn Furniture Outlet. The legends of fairy tale deals was admired by all that heard of their spectacular prices. One day, not so long ago, a couple embarked upon a journey to this mystical land. Arriving to the store after a long travel, their dreams of bargain furniture became a reality….
because this store rocks! Seriously, my friends – it was like stepping into a fabulous mixture of Ikea prices with style and quality of Pottery Barn. Does it get any better than that?
Our sofa shopping adventures came to an end when we found this beauty: A $1089 sofa for $419. That was not a typo. We saved a whopping $670 on the most comfortable and beautiful sofa I’ve ever sat on. I am absolutely in love! The only draw back was that it did not come pre-slipcovered. That’s ok, though. Since I’ve purchased the amazing ebook The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Custom Slipcovers by my friend Kristi, I know I can do one myself. I’m not in a big hurry, though, since I love the Stone fabric that it’s upholstered in.
Isn’t she a beaut? It’s the Buchanan sofa, and it makes me smile every time I have to walk in the room :)
The reason for the deep discount? It had a small stain on the arm, which I removed with a little upholstery cleaner – an easy task for such a big discount!
Driving 3 hours each way may sound crazy, but that driving time saved me $100 per hour, even after you factor in the gas – PLUS I didn’t have to wait 6-14 weeks. Sweet! Talk about instant gratification…
*Disclosure: I am an affiliate of Pink & Polka Dot – if you buy the slipcover ebook I will receive a portion of the price. I purchased the book with my own money and thought it was so wonderful that I would share my find with y’all :)

OH! I have a PB outlet 3.5 hours from me! I have wanted to go for so long but wasn't sure it would be worth it but IKEA prices is definitely worth the drive!!! Wow. Great deal. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWay to go! You got the instant gratification of taking it right home, too.

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that is amazing and definitely worth a 3 hour drive! I googled it and found there's a PB outlet in Lake Elsinore, CA which is just over an hour away and on the way to my in-laws. I'll definitely have to tell hubby we're going on a little roadtrip:)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE (can't say it any louder) PB outlet! There is one 1 hour from us and I'm hoping they will put one at a closer outlet that is only 30 minutes away. I haven't been there all winter but once this weather calms down, I'm there!

Oh Gina! I've wanted to go to a PB Outlet for so long! Did you go to the one in GA? I thought I found a PB in Knoxville and was so excited, only to go there and find that it was just a very small shop in the mall and not even discounted prices. :(
