Welcome to Transformation Thursday! It’s the one day of the week we all get together to celebrate getting stuff done. No matter if you’ve been coming around for months (or years), or this is your very first transformation rodeo – everyone is welcome to link up your projects at the bottom of this post.
Wreaths haunt me. I love them – realllllly love them. But I’m not so great at making them. They always seem either way too puny or way too overdone when I attempt it… but today I might have broken my losing streak.
I took a simple wreath form, wrapped it in burlap scraps, the tied my rosettes to one… wellllll… corner? Pretty simple stuff, eh? I love it! Yep, I love a wreath that I made – shocking, I know :)
The flowers were really simple to make, thanks to Fancy Schmancy Tutorials using the Eva Flower – which is a super easy process, thanks to Jeni & her wonderful directions.
I know what you’re thinking – Why in the world would I wanna buy a tutorial? Well, my friends, because it rocks. Really. When I began making flowers for different products in my shop, I looked high and low for a free tutorial that had really great flowers with really great instructions. I did find a few, but nothing like the ones available at Fancy Schmancy. When you consider that you can browse through Google for hours & hours to try to find one really great tutorial, then paying less than $7 for one makes a lot of sense.
But, let’s be honest – do I really need a tutorial? I tried to use her techniques, without using the recommend products (which are really inexpensive), and they really just didn’t look as good. Sure, you can substitute…. but it’s just not going to be as pretty in the end. Jeni did her homework, because I don’t know if I’ve ever seen clearer, easier to follow instructions, with fool-proof methods. Want to see how easy she makes it? She shares her free tutorial for making a pillow tie.
Want to try them? Jeni is giving one of my readers a pack of 7 of her tutorials – that’s a $50 value! And, she’s adding in one of her fabulous pillow ties, too! Woo hoo!
Want to enter? Just leave a comment below telling me your favorite tutorial in her shop.
