Welcome to Transformation Thursday! It’s the one day of the week we all get together to celebrate getting stuff done. No matter if you’ve been coming around for months (or years), or this is your very first transformation rodeo – everyone is welcome to link up your projects at the bottom of this post.
Special touches to my home make me happy. Know what makes me happier? When those special touches represent folks that I love. A few weeks ago, when all my friends swooped into my home to smother us in love, they left behind tokens & touches that are still just how they left ‘em – cause I love them that much! Leslie made each gaggle member one of these sweet North Carolina pillows. See the flower? It’s Greenville, where she lives. How pretty is that?
She also did the simplest, yet smartest thing I’ve seen in a long while. I went to wash my hands (after she washed my dishes for me – because she’s amazing like that!), and I saw this:
When I saw it, the first words out of my mouth was “WHO was the smart person to put my stuff on a plate???” Leslie meekly said, “ummm….. me.” She thought I was mad, but I thought it was the most genius idea – that apparently everyone in the world knew about but me. It’s a great idea – and now I think of her every day when I see it.
After everyone was gone, I received this in the mail from my friend Lisa. It’s burlap and it’s beautiful. She embroidered our initial in aqua (of course!), making it especially for me. I love, love, love this runner! I make runners, lots and lots of runners, but this one just makes me happy because it was created by someone that I love.
These sweet touches bring a little extra sweetness to our home, and the fact that they were made with love from my friends is just icing on the cake.
Soooooooo……. whatcha got? I wanna see – and so does everybody else! Please put your PERMALINK into the linky – and link back here so everyone can find all the great ideas. Please, please, PLEASE – pretty please DO NOT LINK TO A SHOP!!! Be sure to visit your neighbors and have fun – it is a party after all. *Please note: If you link up you are giving me permission to use your photos on my blog without contacting you (don’t worry, it’s only to show off your beautiful stuff!)*
Welllllllll…………. Let’er rip, tater chip!

Another great Transformation Thursday!

I agree with you that the stuff on a plate is genius. Like smack myself in the forehead-why-didn't-I-think-of-that-? genius. My stuff is just kind of laying around and looks scattered.
ReplyDeleteLove the pillow and the runner too.
:)
Thanks for hosting the party!
Hey Gina! I just love your new South Carolina pillow--I saw those on Leslie's blog and thought it was a great idea. Did you see her post wherein she said that, as she was making those pillows, she began to wish that she was from Colorado? :)
ReplyDeleteNo doubt about it--gifts from friends are just the best.
