Guess what? Well since you’ll never guess, I’m gonna spill: I painted my living room. The beloved aqua said bye bye – bring on a little grey. Although it’s not a huge change, it is a little different and I love the changes that it brings.
Don’t get me wrong, I still ♥ my aqua. But here’s where I level with ya – it was horrible to photograph. Not only for photos to show you all here, but shop photos as well. Since I kinda make a living on selling stuff online, I have to photograph it so that I can create listings. My living room has the best light of my whole house, and the blue was making the light all wonky and stuff.
I was afraid that I wouldn’t like it – but I really, really do :) The color? Once Upon A Time, which was a swatch I found in the Disney section at The Home Depot. I asked my friendly paint guy to make it in Glidden paint, which he was happy to do. The fact that I love the new show by the same name – pure coincidence.
On a separate note… notice my tree skirt? It’s my book page garland from my Halloween mantle. Gotta love gettin’ extra mileage out of a cheap trick, eh? That’s just the kinda stuff that cranks my tractor!

Love the new look.... and thanks for the color name... my son just bought a new house and I'm trying to convince him to use something other than white, this color just might do the trick :)

PS love the idea of the reuse of the paper garland!
I love your beautiful room color, the tree and all the decor. My favorite is the simple "Joy" on the wall.

It's very pretty! I've been wanting to try it in my kitchen but hubby is very much against it. I'm still working on him though! LOL!
