Football and The South - have two greater pairings ever been made? Southerners loveeeee football - whether it's basking in the Friday night lights of the local high school team (go Wildcats!) or hanging out to watch a super college bowl game. Of course, when you're spending Sunday on the couch cheering on your team, you need some snacks, right? If your man fits in the "meat and potatoes guy" category, you can place bets on this easy appetizer recipe: meatloaf bites. And, bonus, you can feel better about making it, since it's a healthier version of the old dinner standard.
For this recipe you will need:
1 pound of ground beef
1 pound of ground turkey (breast is best)
1/2 cup ketchup, plus another cup or so for garnish
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 cup of oatmeal
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 tablespoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Now let's start on the ingredients.
Put the oatmeal and all the other ingredients in a bowl, and mix them together by hand until everything is incorporated well, just like making regular meatloaf.
