Bathroom remodeling – it’s all we talk about around here these days. While trying to make a small space hold some big style, I’ve come up with some options that help keep costs down, too! With a strong color palette, some great lighting, and even a few surprises, I thought I’d share our mood board for the upcoming bathroom.
The color palette: The walls are wainscoting on the bottom and drywall on the top. The bead board and trim are Ultra White by Dutch Boy, while the top of the wall is Behr’s Marina Isle. The vanity will get some smokey gray in the form of Sherwin William’s Grizzle Gray. Yes, I picked 3 different paint companies. It’s all good – Home Depot just color matched all of it for me in one trip.
We’re also gonna get some heavy metal into the space, including some farmhouse inspired vanity lights (a steal at less than $20 each), metal storage bins and of course teenage girls can’t seem to have enough mirrors, like this one from Ikea.
On top of all that, we’re also tossing in a chevron rug from Ballard Designs, Mr. SCC will be building something similar to the vanity, and other bathroom essentials.
Of course, I’ve got to hold back a few surprises, so you’ll have to wait to see what rest looks like… but it won’t be too long of a wait. I’m hoping it will be done in just a couple of weeks!
