Keeping little ones busy can be a full time job, but these easy ideas can be a great distraction for moms while you get stuff done (like cleaning, laundry or the 1 million other things you have to do each day.)
Playing with Blocks
Blocks are your friend. I don't care if they're a set you buy new, pull out of the attic, make yourself with 2x4s, or even cardboard boxes that you pretend are blocks. He can play for an hour with them, which is a huge compliment. Luckily, Bre still had her set from when she was a baby, so we just dusted them off and now he can play for days without getting bored. I'm thinking he likes the demolition part more than the actual building, but it's all good. Not only is he entertained, he's improving his motor skills, learning different shapes and using logic to put it all together. They are the alpha and omega of kids activities.
