I have used the Rub & Buff before- worked wonderfully on an old brass light fixture. Transformed into the prettiest pewter/silver by using Martha Stewart darker graphite on first layer, then "dabbing" with a damp rag over top with the Rub & Buff in silver.

Very pretty !! Great product. Note to self : Wear gloves or have goo-gone ready to clean up hands.

My friend just told me about Rub 'n Buff. I just bought some...they didni't have ebony so I'll be ordering that too. The look is amazing. I have all this French Provencial solid wood bedroom furniture and I love what you did to yours. you just saved my life...I hate all my brass hardware and have EVERY rub n buff color there is...never thought to use it for anything but my scrapbooking (I'm a bumpy scrapbooker!), and also using a toothbrush is brilliant! I hated using q-tips! Thanks a million!
