Quick Closet Makeover

Living in a house with exactly two closets, you’d think I’d make the most of every inch of both of them. You’d be wrong. Cabinets, chest of drawers, and shelves are my best friend. But since I’ve gotta work with what I have, I figured it was high time to give my little hallway closet a quick closet makeover.

You’ve seen the outside of this closet before, it’s the door with the arrow sign. Looks cute with the door closed, huh?

On the inside… not so much…

Lots of stuff that needs to go to Goodwill all stacked up inside, along with some random things that never seemed to have a home. The door was rarely ever opened, and it was pretty much wasted space.

So first I cleaned it all out, including the worn out big box store book shelf. Then I gave it all a fresh coat of white paint, thanks to my Paint Stick Mini. When HomeRight sent it to me a couple of weeks ago, I knew that it was the perfect tool to paint this closet.

I love the regular size paint sticks for big rooms, and the mini was perfect for the tight space. I painted the whole closet in under half an hour – that’s pretty close to instant gratification!

So I took a space I never used and turned it into one that holds stuff we need every day. And finally, after 4 years, that vacuum has a real home. That’s a lot of progress, my friends!
