Everything in the world feels so FUCKING hard right now.
You can feel it in your chest when you wake, in the way your shoulders curl in as you scroll, in the low hum of anxiety that clings to you even in still moments.
We’re living through a time when those who have clung to power are losing their grip — and in their flailing, they’re casting shadows over the collective nervous system of humanity. Every headline, every ping, every jarring soundbite is a little curse meant to keep you reactive, fearful, distracted.
We can’t banish the noise completely.
But we can step out of the trance it’s trying to hold us in.
We can cast our own counterspell.
That’s where #75Soft comes in.

The Origin Spell
Nearly three years ago, I had been in therapy long enough to peel back some layers — and I knew it was time to dig deeper. Yes, I wanted to release weight, but not for the gaze or approval of others. What I craved was to fall back in love with myself.
So I created a framework that felt like an altar I could return to daily — not a bootcamp. A way of tending my body and spirit that honored the Feminine Divine and rejected the poison of self-loathing.
I shared it on Instagram, thinking maybe a handful of friends would join. Thousands did. We called it #75Soft.
And what unfolded was more magic than I could have imagined: people healed their relationships with themselves, slept better, softened their edges, found joy again. Weight shifted for some, but the real alchemy was in their energy.
Because when you choose consistent love and compassion for yourself, everything changes.

Why This Spell Matters Now
Life is faster. The noise is louder. The fear is heavier.
Many of us are running on fumes without even knowing it.
In my first 18 months of living softer, I released 125 pounds. In the past seven months, I’ve gained back 40. I could feel the chaos creeping back in. I knew I had to step away from fear and return to the magic that worked: being soft with myself.
#75Soft is my grounding charm — the practice I return to whenever I need to steady myself. It’s not about hiding from reality, but creating enough inner stability to face it with clarity and strength.
And when more of us live from that place? The ripple effect is powerful enough to shift the collective.

The Daily Rituals of #75Soft
These aren’t rules. You can’t “win” or “fail” here.
They are seven daily rituals — small, potent spells — that you commit to for 75 days, long enough to weave them into the fabric of your life.
1. Be Kind to You
Your words are incantations. Speak to yourself like you would to a beloved sister, a trusted friend, or a child you adore.
A sharp, impatient inner voice is like a cold wind that withers growth. Gentle words are a warm breeze that help your spirit unfurl. Even small shifts — from “I’m so stupid” to “I’m learning” — are spells of self-trust.
2. Drink Your Water
Water is life and cleansing magic. It flushes stagnant energy, clears mental fog, lifts your vitality, and nourishes every cell.
Sip with intention — imagine each drink as a blessing pouring into your body. My goal: drink in ounces half of my body weight in pounds (200 lbs = 100 oz/day).
3. Consume with Intention
This isn’t just about food. It’s all you take in — music, books, news, conversations, social media.
Each thing you consume becomes part of you. Ask before saying yes: “Will this nourish me?” Sometimes that’s a crisp salad, sometimes it’s a cupcake that feeds the soul. Choose your ingredients — for your plate and your mind — with care.
Shutting off the news and the noise that hijacks your emotions – but stay informed with trusted sources.
4. Move Your Body
Movement is energy in motion. It burns away stagnation, warms your spirit, and reminds you your body is your ally.
My goal: 20 minutes of intentional joy each day — walking outside, dancing in the kitchen, or Body Groove on rainy days. Let it feel like celebration, not penance.
5. Meditate
Meditation is presence, stillness, and spell-clearing. Even a few minutes can reset your breath, your mind, and your nervous system.
It doesn’t have to be silent sitting — it can be:
- Walking Meditation in nature or at home
- Candle Gazing by the flicker of flame
- Brewing and sipping tea with full awareness
- Sound immersion with music, a sound bath, or rain
- Breath & touch with a stone or seashell in hand
- Cloud or star watching under the sky’s canopy
6. Create with Intention
Make something each day — a meal, a spell jar, a flower arrangement, a garden bed. Creation anchors you in the moment and reminds you: you are not only a consumer of the world, you are a maker.
Self-expression is medicine. It’s also resistance.
7. Journal Daily
Journaling is a mirror and a map. It lets you see your patterns, release emotions, and plant seeds for who you are becoming.
It’s where the whispers of your soul become visible on paper. And once you see them, you can work with them.

The Beauty of 75 Days
Seventy-five days is long enough for these rituals to root themselves in your life, and short enough to feel within reach. This round is even more magical: we’ll begin Monday, August 18th and end on Halloween — the Witch’s New Year, when the veil is thinnest and transformation is ripe.
By then, you’ll feel calmer, more balanced, and lighter in body, mind, and spirit. Not because you “fixed” yourself, but because you softened the harshness of life and tended your own magic.
This is Your Invitation
If you feel scattered, depleted, or worn thin by the noise — this is your call to step back into your power, softly.
You don’t need perfection. You only need willingness. Show up for yourself for the next 75 days, and watch what unfolds.

I am so ready! I have been obsessed with the news for way too long and it has me anxious. I do have ways to escape: gardening, sitting out on the porch and listening to the birds and squirrels, and watching standup comedy.

Hitting big transitions this year. I just turned 70 in July, and I’m retiring in – checking countdown widget on phone – 32 days. Seems like a way to help me in the untethering from work process. Something to focus on besides fighting the impulse to focus on what I’m not doing (work).
