Have you ever visited a town that drew you in so tightly that you wanted to pack up everything you own and move there? Apalachicola, Florida is that place for me. It’s the best beach town that I never knew existed, but it’s not really on the beach. Just across a bridge, a short 10 minute drive will land you on St. George Island, so the beach really isn’t that far away.
It’s historic district feels like you’re stepping back into a time that no longer exists. It’s calm, relaxed, community centered and honestly just idyllic. Want to take a peek?

Isn’t that a gorgeous tour? See the last photo…. that’s where we stayed while in this gorgeous little town. Opened in 1907, the Gibson Inn* is a historic bed and breakfast that is simply breath taking. Want to visit? Make sure you check the calendar for their Murder Mystery Weekends to have a bit of fun on your trip while staying in this lazy little gem on the Emerald Coast.
