In my fast paced world, I need fast paced food. Unlike most southerners, we’re not a fried chicken every night kinda family – but I do like a good chicken recipe – like this sweet & sour chicken. With only 3 ingredients, it’s fast, easy & budget friendly, too! For the chicken part, all you need is boneless skinless chicken (whatever parts you prefer, I used chicken breasts), crushed pineapple & Catalina dressing. Yep, that’s it. First, cut the chicken into bite size pieces, ... continue reading...
How to create a Pinnable Graphic with Paint & Picasa
You’ve written a great blog post. It’s EPIC! You know that it’s going to get pinned. to. death. But then….. crickets. Hmmm…. what went wrong? It may be as simple as not having a graphic that begs to be pinned. Was it that you didn’t think to make one – or most likely you didn’t have the “expensive” programs to make it with…. Guess what? You don’t need them! You can make great Pin-worthy graphics with my 2 favorite free editing programs: Paint & Picasa. Start with the graphic that you ... continue reading...
Nutella & Peanut Butter Fudge

You need vanilla frosting (the non-whipped kind, straight off the baking aisle), peanut butter and Nutella. That’s it. You need 1 cup of Nutella and 1 cup of peanut butter in a mixing bowl. I use a silicone spatula to mix it all ... continue reading...

I generally just give every holiday other than Christmas a lick and a promise, but this year I'm trying to have a little more fun with it. I'm thinking if I keep it easy then it just might turn into a habit. My red, white & blue stars burlap table runner is just about as easy as it gets. First things first, you need a table runner. I make mine from burlap, just by stitching the edges with thread the same color and ... continue reading...

Can you hear the cheering? Yep! It’s Friday – woot woot!!! I’m hanging out at Haven, but still wanted to bring y’all another edition of TL4L. I’ve been drooling over jute rugs for a long time now, and wondered where in the world do I get one on my budget. Sounds like a good topic, huh? So let’s go virtual shopping! There are a few things to consider when shopping for any rug, but we’re going to focus on jute. First, not every site/store sells one stock size. The ones in this post range from ... continue reading...
