How to clean driftwood

Whether you're at the beach or lake or even a creek, chances are you've found some beautiful driftwood. If you're like me, you want to figure out how to clean driftwood before using it in craft projects or decorating. It's actually quite simple, and if you have small pieces to clean you can do them all fairly quickly. DIY Love Letter Lamp

This Love Letter Lamp has been one of the most popular projects I've ever posted on the blog. It's a simple way to give a thrift store lamp a pretty makeover with just a little paint in about an afternoon. Once upon a time there was a lamp that I loved at Pottery Barn (but now neither the lamp or the shade is available). And together, the pair was $159. Kinda pricey for a lamp if you ask me. Easy DIY French Script Curtains

Easy DIY French script curtains add such flair to a space. With a little fabric and paint, you can get this look for about $5 (especially if you use a coupon at the fabric store)- which is a killer deal, huh? This project is super quick, you can make a set in under half an hour. *This post contains affiliate links* To make French script curtains you will need: White Muslin (about 2/3 a yard of 108 width) Washable Paint {Click here for the paint I used} Thin Brush Yard Stick ... continue reading...

It took me longer than everybody else for two reasons. 1) I am slow. 2) I am picky. It took me forever to find the perfect candlestick, because I wanted one that looked simliar to the turned wooden ones that I adore. Just remember to leave it alone for 24 hours (that's always the hardest part). Then you get a beautiful jar. Mine was $4 - $2 for each piece. You ... continue reading...

crock pot caramel pie

I don't typically post recipes. In fact, in 7 months of being on this blog, I have never posted a recipe. Until now. Tis the season for eating, after all. So I thought I'd share my fabulous fakeout - Caramel Pie! It's creamy & yummy and sinfully calorie loaded. But, it IS the holidays after all. So.... wanna great recipe that your friends, family and co-workers will flip for? One that you only actually put three minutes worth of work into? Then this is your ... continue reading...
