Can you put wallpaper on mobile home walls? Thanks!
Tiffany,
I would try a small area. Wash it really REALLY well with a good cleaner like TSP. Then try out the wallpaper. Used to be you could get decent sized samples. Not sure if that’s available to you. I too live in a mobile. The walls are usually a vinyl wall covering over the drywall. That can be painted if nothing else!! Wash well with the TSP and then use a good primer/paint combo. We’ve done that and it has held up really well for 15 years! We recently used some Masonite board that has a barn board feel/look to it and dry brush painted that, hanging it as a wainscot with chair rail.
Anyway…Good Luck!!!

Would love to try that beach wall paper like shiplap, would look good in our kitchen, we have mfg. home. When we first thought about painting, we asked at Lowes, oh yeah, had to primer all walls first. We used paint with primer, did really well, no problem. Thought if we put wall paper up would be smart idea to use primer on walls first, to me that makes sense. Since not as big an area not so much to hang.
Gotta go,supper ready. Great post
Awesome idea JaneEllen!!
I’m a big fan. Have followed you for a while. Always cautious of websites, previous bad experiences. You are very talented & entertaining. Appreciate your good work.
Thanks so much Kathy, I really appreciate your kind words!
You are spot on. That wallpaper looks like old wood. And my goal is open shelving. Love how the vent hood is focal with the open shelving. Incorporating both of those ideas. Thank you! ❤️♀️
Thanks so much Dale 🙂
Gina, I too live in a mobile home and want the open shelving. Do you have a post about how you did the vent hood cover? Love everything about your house~
