Christmas in Jars: Snowball Truffles

Baking cakes and making candy is my language of love during the holiday season. So when I decided to join my friends Andrea, Jessica and Angie for a whole week about Christmas in Jars, I knew that making something sweet was the way to go. But I also wanted to do something super easy. After trying a few different recipes, I kind of stumbled upon this by trial and error – white chocolate cream cheese truffles. Y’all. I can’t even describe how delicious these are. So to give them a little holiday flair, I decided to call them Snowball truffles. This is hands down one of the easier recipes I’ve ever made (it rivals my 2 minute Nutella fudge!) With only three ingredients you’re going to love how quick you can make these!Gifts in Jars: Snowball Truffles

Snowball Truffles

Ingredients:

  • One 8 oz. package of cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz. of Baker’s white chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar

Directions:

Whip the cream cheese until smooth using a mixer. Melt the chocolate. With a mixer, incorporate the melted chocolate one spoon at a time until all incorporated. Spoon the mixture out into a glass pie pan and chill in refrigerator for 2-3 hours until firm.

Once mixture is firm, use a small scoop (or a spoon) to dip out equal portions and drop into powdered sugar. Dust your hands with powdered sugar, then roll the truffles until they are round. Roll around in powdered sugar and chill until served.

This recipe makes 20 truffles (using a small baking scoop) – but you could double or triple it for parties.

Place them in a jar, then tie on a ribbon for gift giving. Your friends and family will thank you profusely.

Do you have to use only Bakers white chocolate… or can you use others?

You can use the meltable chocolate wafers from the craft stores or even white chocolate chips.
