You’ve probably seen this barstool a dozen or so times if you’ve been hanging around these parts very long – it sits in my kitchen on the revolving wall of art work. I bought it forever and a half ago for $5 at Goodwill, money very well spent, I’d say 🙂
In my batch of coffee sacks, there were a couple that had a yummy teal stripe & lettering – coffee sack and teal all in one? Uhhh… YAY! I had been saving these extra special lovelies for the perfect project – and I think I mighta found it.
I took one and cut it roughly the same shape as my barstool seat, with about 4 inches all around. Notice the hot glue from my last recovering job? Yeah… I didn’t have a staple gun then – but it actually worked, so if you’re in a pickle….
I started by stapling one in the front and then pulled the fabric tight and stapled one in the back, then one side and the other. Then I pulled it all tight and stapled it all around. After it was all secure, then I trimmed off the extra fabric (better to have too much than not enough.)
Then I popped it back onto the stool and it was done. All total it took about 10 minutes – not bad for a quick change!

Ok…. so are ya ready for the big announcement????
I’ve been so smitten with all the coffee sack, coffee stained, coffee filter and coffee bean projects that I’ve seen around blogland lately – I thought it might be fun to have a special party. Wanna make it even more fun? Well Starbucks is joining in on the fun – cool, huh? Now y’all know that I lurve me some Starbucks, baby! Be careful what you blog about, because the company you love just might find you 🙂
So, with the help of my friends at Starbucks, we’re gonna have a party to celebrate all things coffee and crafty. One lucky participant will win a gift set from Starbucks! And, to make the party even more fun, we’re gonna have a Twitter party, too – woohoo! The linky party will be held on Nov. 1st – which will begin at 8 a.m. – and we’ll have the Twitter party that night at 8 p.m. – where two lucky participants will win a gift set. That’s a total of 3 sets for you guys!
I hope you’ll join in with your coffee related crafts & decorating ideas.
