Do you know that feeling you get when you have the urge to make something? A craft project fix! Well, it happened to me again, so I went searching for something that would be fun, totally adorable, and easy to do. While I was going through my craft supplies I came across this adorable cotton tote bag and knew I had hit the jackpot. In under 10 minutes, I was able to get my crafting fix in and manage to NOT destroy the entire house in the process. Win-win!!
Take a look at the video below to see how easy this project was and find out how you can make your own. Happy crafting, friends.
What can a cotton tote bag be used for
Cotton tote bags can be used in a million different ways. I’ve seen them used for kid sleepovers, beach bags, essentials in the trunk, and more. My favorite time to use my cotton tote bag is when we go to the farmers market. I can load it up with all my favorite veggies, and snacks and go on about my shopping. Since the handles are somewhat long, I just throw that joker over my shoulder and go.
Can you wash a tote bag
Absolutely! Living in the country, dirt gets on and in everything. When mine gets a little dingy, or dirty, I just toss into the wash with my towels. And since the Chalk Couture ink I use has been set and is permanent, I don’t have to worry about my design washing out.
What to carry in a tote bag
Like I said before, I’ve seen cotton tote bags used in a ton of different ways. So basically anything that you feel like needs to be in a bag, can go into a tote bag. Have a toddler in the house, toss a few diapers and wipes inside and keep it in the car (just in case). Going to friends for brunch? Grab that bottle of wine and put it inside the tote bag. Have to take the kids to the doctor’s office? Put a few coloring books, or toys into your tote and head out the door.
How to personalize a cotton tote bag
This is my favorite part about cotton tote bags, I can personalize it in whatever way I choose. In the past, I’ve tried paint, vinyl, and about anything else you can think of, but since I found Chalk Couture I haven’t looked back. I’ve admitted before that I’m a hot mess crafter, and I can’t stand projects that take forever, so Chalk Couture has become my goto crafting method.
