Did you know that vinegar dates back to before 5000 BC? According to legend, the Babylonians discovered how to make wine from grape juice, and then that wine turns into vinegar over time. How ironic that something that came from sugar can turn out to be one of the best cleaners you can buy. But did you know it has a few great ways you can use it for DIY hacks & projects?

Clean Up Old Windows
I'm a sucker for old windows, but they always come with old grime attached. I knew when we started building my new studio that I wanted old windows because of their charm (and the price!) But they were sooooo dirty! They'd been sitting in an old abandoned school building for years - and it showed. I was super impressed with how easily Cleaning Vinegar cut through all of the grime, but didn't streak the way most window cleaner does.

I LOVE VINEGAR FOR CLEANING EVERYTHING!!!!!! My Grandma, then my Mom and now me, have always used vinegar and newspaper to clean windows. I have been using it in stead of fabric softener in my washer. Then in my dryer I use a micro fabric dryer towel. But I dampen it and up a couple of drops of essential oil on the towel. When it no longer smells I repeat but with a different oil. Even my backyard smells great on wash day. Thank You Gina. I enjoy your emails very much.

I live in Illinois so I have been using 4 Monks for quite a while. Often I will add 1/4 C. of Blue Dawn to it to get stains up off the carpet(from the Dog). Works great. I Probably have 4 bottles under the sink now. It is also great for washing down walls. I Can’t think of anything else right at the moment. Worth buying. Try it for anything.

That is great. My mother always telling me how it is easy to clean wood with vinegar and sometimes offers me to clean wood work on my boat. Until know was refusing to do it because of the smell. She never worried for smell but I did. Now when there is vinegar without smell maybe I could try it out.

I grew up with vinegar being a staple in my home too. My grandmother used it and my Mom and now I find myself using it often as well. I never tire of the smell because it’s a very comforting to me. And it works on so many things.
