Spicy Shrimp with Siracha Bloody Mary Shots

Ho Ho Ho! The holiday season is in full swing, from Thanksgiving to New Year’s – the one thing that everyone does is get together for parties & entertaining. What if you didn’t slave away in the kitchen for hours, but instead could enjoy your own party? That’s my plan this year! I’m joining up with four amazing ladies {Andrea, Ashley, Karianne & Laura} so we can help you rock out your holidays – yet keep it all simple to you can enjoy this season instead of being stressed. Today we’re all sharing easy entertaining recipes – and I’m pitching in with my Spicy Shrimp with Siracha Bloody Mary Shots.

This recipe is so easy that I shouldn’t even call it a recipe, some Food Network lovin’ peeps will probably strip me of my apron  – but I’m all about easy entertaining recipes and these definitely fit the bill.

For the shrimp:

Start with fresh shrimp, peeled and de-veined with the tails on, and season them with a little sea salt and some freshly cracked black pepper. Saute them a few at a time in a pan with a drizzle of olive oil. Don’t put too many in the pan at a time, you want them to have room to move. They’ll only need a couple of minutes on each side over medium high heat, until they’re no longer translucent and start to curl just a bit.

For the sauce:

Mix together 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of Siracha sauce, and 2 tablespoons of Thai sweet chili sauce. That’s it. Put it in a small bowl and place it on the platter with the shrimp.

For the drink:

Mix together 2 oz of vodka with 4 cups of tomato juice and 1 tablespoon of Siracha. Add in a good pinch of salt (to taste) and black pepper if desired. Mix thoroughly and chill before serving.
