Bedroom Makeover

Welcome to Transformation Thursday! It’s the one day of the week we all get together to celebrate getting stuff done. No matter if you’ve been coming around for months (or years), or this is your very first transformation rodeo – everyone is welcome to link up your projects at the bottom of this post.

IMG_1148 Yesterday I shared Bre’s room, and now it’s time to share Lala’s space. Her entire room was designed around her favorite purse. The girl sure takes after her mamma, and loves pretty bags. This Fossil one is her absolute fave, so we chose all her colors from the purse itself.

IMG_1131 Her bed was a free find, a blessing to our family! The pillows were made by Polly & Leslie, check out Polly’s blog to learn about the red, damask & yellow ones, and drop by Lisa’s blog to learn about the monogrammed ones.

IMG_1136 Mr. SCC built the yellow book shelves, and Leslie painted them to make ‘em look all pretty and stuff. Notice the Nightmare Before Christmas stuff – she’s in love with Jack 🙂

IMG_1170 Speaking of building, my sweetheart also built Lala a cabinet for all her clothes. Angie is going to tell you all about it – but I gotta tell ya that I had the BEST time painting it with ChaCha. We got to spend an entire afternoon just hanging out and painting….

IMG_1140 Cha Cha & Polly came up with this cool idea for hanging Lala’s jewelry. Go visit Cha Cha to learn more about it. All of the artwork in this room was done by Miss Lala herself – she LOVES to paint, draw or do anything creative! (Wonder where she gets that from?)

IMG_1133 And so, my friends, that’s Lala’s room! We had a blast working on these all weekend long – and I’ll be sharing a few more things next week about these fabulous spaces.

IMG_1145 Thanks again to all my friends for hanging out with me and working so very, very hard to help bring my girls the rooms of their dreams! And, thanks to Dutch Boy for providing the paint for this room as well.

paint colors: Walls – Ypslanti Skies; Trim – Soap Opera; Red cabinet – Rocket Red

Sooooooo……. whatcha got? I wanna see – and so does everybody else! Please put your PERMALINK into the linky – and link back here so everyone can find all the great ideas. Please, please, PLEASE – pretty please DO NOT LINK TO A SHOP!!! Be sure to visit your neighbors and have fun – it is a party after all. *Please note: If you link up you are giving me permission to use your photos on my blog without contacting you (don’t worry, it’s only to show off your beautiful stuff!)*

PLEASE be sure to link up to the new URL – www.theshabbycreekcottage.com – not the old one. A new button is coming soon – a text link is absolutely fine with me 🙂

Welllllllll…………. Let’er rip, tater chip!

Gina–honestly, I hardly know where to begin! I would so love to see photos of Lala and Bre enjoying their rooms. I can just imagine that they must be thrilled! I think you were absolutely brilliant to conceive of this gathering–gaggle, that is–of bloggers. I’ve visited around to several of the participants’ blogs, and it sounds like y’all had a wonderful time. . . and you certainly got a lot done! Everything is looking beautiful down by the creek. I am so proud for you! 🙂

Hi Gina, Sorry it took me this long to say thanks for hosting, I thought I did when I linked up to the party.

I always like visiting your blog. Became a follower… again.

I’m trying out my own party next Wednesday… not getting much response yet. I’ve been gone for over a year so I guess I’m kinda new all over again.
