The Look for Less: Jute Rugs

Look for Less Logo - Jute Rugs
Can you hear the cheering? Yep! It’s Friday – woot woot!!! I’m hanging out at Haven, but still wanted to bring y’all another edition of TL4L. I’ve been drooling over jute rugs for a long time now, and wondered where in the world do I get one on my budget. Sounds like a good topic, huh? So let’s go virtual shopping!

Target Jute Rug - $299
There are a few things to consider when shopping for any rug, but we’re going to focus on jute. First, not every site/store sells one stock size. The ones in this post range from 5×8 to 6×9. The texture of them will also vary a little, so you need to consider that when picking your own, m’kay? Just like every week, we’re gonna start with the most expensive. Are you ready for a shock??? This week’s pick is from Target!!! Yep, I scoured a dozen sites to find 5 options, and the most expensive was from Target – this 5×8 rug is $299. That chunky weave is pretty sweet, though!
Pottery Barn Jute Rug Coming in on the second highest is Pottery Barn. Their version has a smoother texture, but the 5×8 version is on sale for $249. If you’re craving the look of PB on a budget, this might be a good basic piece to invest in.
Ballard jute rug Third on the list is Ballard Design. How’s that for a twist? Yep, both BD & PB are cheaper than Target! This 5×8 rug with fringe ends is only $199. I love the fringe detail 🙂

Amazon jute rug Next on the list is good old Amazon. Another classic style that will last for-ev-ah is only $183 for a 5×8 rug. The photo background is black, but there is no border on the rug.
Ikea Jute RUg And last, and of course, the least is Ikea. Oh how I love Ikea! Their version is larger than the rest, at about 6×9. Not only is it a big larger than the rest, it’s also the cheapest at only $149. Yep, that’s my pick! What did surprise me is how much it resembles the Pottery Barn version. That’s almost a dead match!

So if you need a jute rug, now ya know where to go! Have something you want to find for less? Let me know and I’ll try to find it for a future edition!

Thanks for this post. I have been wanting one to paint on. Saw another blogger do a ‘save” on one when she accidentally paint spilled on it and then painted over it all to cover up the oops. Turned out great. You saved me bucks and time. 🙂
