Make your own scented shower tablets with only two common household ingredients and in just a few minutes. They’re the perfect way to start the day!
Although I’m not a huge essential oils kinda girl, I do love me some orange oil. Citrus has long been associated with energy & happiness – and I totally believe it makes my day a bit brighter.
I’ve used shower melts before to create winter soothing showers, so one day as I was making a batch I thought, “Hmm… this would be GREAT for mornings with my citrus oils.” And they totally are!
Shower Tablets (aka shower melts) are quick and easy to make – and you’ve probably already got all the ingredients you need to make them already on hand. A little baking soda. A few drops of essential oil. A bit of water, then you’re good to go. Of course, it is a bit of work, but in less than 5 minutes all the hard work is done.
There is a bit of wait time (you need to let them dry for 24 hours before using), however if you are impatient you could totally just put a big scoop of it on the shower floor and it works just the same.
As the water hits the shower tablet (or pile of loose mix), then it will release the oils and break down the baking soda so you have an aromatherapy shower. All that citrus in the morning will perk you right up – and you’ll be ready to tackle your day!
