Want to get lucky and create a hit for your next party? These fun Pot of Gold jello shots are a true winner. They’re made with cinnamon star Goldschlager – and taste like a sweet candy, only adultified. They’re super easy to make, and honestly they’re such a great way to add a little something fun to a St. Patrick’s Day party. Want to make them?
Pot of Gold Jello Shots Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup GoldSchlager
- 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin (1/4 oz each)
- green food coloring
Directions:
In a small sauce pan, add in the water and sugar. Stir together (only once – before cooking) and put on medium high heat. Bring to a simmer until the sugar melts into the water. You can swirl the pan – but do not stir. Once the sugar is all melted, whisk in the envelopes of gelatin. After the gelatin is dissolved, add in the Goldschlager. (Tip – to get the most gold into your shots, let all of the gold flecks settle to the bottom of the bottle, then slowly pour off most of the bottle into a pitcher while leaving the gold at the bottom. When you get close to the bottom, swirl it around to sweep all the gold up into the liquid, then quickly pour into your measuring cup.)
Once the alcohol is added, add in a few drops of food coloring until you get the desired color. Pour into molds (I used candy molds) and put in the refrigerator for 2 hours until completely set. When ready to serve, dip the bottom of the mold into very warm water for a few seconds to loosen the gelatin and turn out onto plate. You can also pour the mixture into a glass baking dish and cut apart into pieces for easier making (but they aren’t nearly as cute.)
Of course, you could do these jello shots any color to match basically any holiday – but I especially love them for St. Patrick’s Day. Be warned though – a few of these babies will get you tipsy while you feel like you’re eating candy. That’s the luck of the Irish for you 🙂

So cute! I am totally making these for this weekend as well as next! I know the qty will be different depending on the type of mold used but how many were made using your mold?

I think the recipe made about 20 of that size. It will definitely depend on the mold. Thanks for stopping by!
