Chocolate Pudding Popsicle Recipe
First you’ll need a popsicle making apparatus. I picked these up at Ikea, a set of 6 molds for $2. (I use two sets for this recipe.) You can use whatever kind you have, or even cups and old fashioned sticks work, too.
Now let’s make the pudding part. In a large saucepan, put in 2 cups of water, 2 cups of whole milk, 1 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup of all purpose flour and 1/4 cocoa powder. Whisk over medium high heat until it begins to boil and thickens. And you just made chocolate pudding from scratch – YUM! Refrain from eating it with a spoon or over biscuits or whatever. We’re gonna make homemade chocolate popsicles, remember?
Using a funnel, pour the pudding mix into the molds and put in the sticks. You can give the pudding a few minutes to cool to keep from burning yourself. Ya know, put all the stuff you just got out away or something. After they’re all filled, stick them in the freezer and let them sit for 4-6 hours until frozen solid.
If you want to use a cup and straw, just let it cool in the cup a bit for the pudding to stiffen up before inserting the straw or stick. Easy peasy stuff.
After they’re frozen, enjoy your homemade chocolate pudding popsicles. Warning: You may never go back to the store bought kind. And best of all: they’re Brady approved π

Would these work with a different kind of milk, like almond milk? I’d like to make them for someone who is lactose intolerant.
I don’t know because I’ve never used almond milk. Can you cook with it? If so it would most likely work. I’d definitely give it a try!
