4cupsof fresh peachespeeled, de-seeded & diced (or you could use 4 cups of canned diced peaches - but fresh is best)
1/2cupsugar
For the Crust
1cupof all purpose flour
1tspbaking powder
1/4tsp.salt
1cupsugar
1cupbutter milk
1/2cupwater
1tspvanilla extract
For the Topping
2TBSbuttercut into small slices
1/4cupsugar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a 10 inch skillet that has been buttered, put in the filling mixture and mix together, then set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, put in all of the crust ingredients, then whisk until smooth. Pour mixture over the peach filling in the skillet, then top with slices of butter scattered on top and sprinkle the whole top with the topping sugar.
Bake for 1 hour, or until top just barely starts to brown.
