Simple Christmas mantel decorating is my favorite kind. Not in the lazy sort of way, more along the lines of a minimalist tendency sort of way. And I have a little secret on how to decorate a Christmas mantel, one that takes only a few minutes to do and after the holiday is over, it cleans up in a snap.
Start by measuring the mantel using a tape measure. Based on the length, use a pencil to mark 5 equidistant points on the underside of the mantel’s ledge.
Using the pencil marks as a guide, adhere 5 Command™ Party Ceiling Hooks to the underside of the mantel. Wait 1 hour and then string the white fabric ball garland from the party ceiling hooks so it hangs neatly from the mantel. Note: Follow all Command™ Brand package instructions for proper surface cleaning and prep, adhesive strip placement and recommended weight claims
On the top of the mantel, determine where you want to hang the stockings and mark with a pencil. Tip: For a clean look, mark the center between each ceiling hook adhered in Step 2.
Using the pencil marks as a guide, adhere Command™ Clear Round Cord Clips, with the open side of the clip facing towards the wall. Wait 1 hour and then hang the 4 holiday stockings from each clear round cord clip. Note: these stockings are for display purposes and not to be filled.
Drape the pine garland on top of the mantel. Dress it up to your liking by inserting mini disco balls or ball ornaments and pinecones. Once the holiday is over, you can easily remove the Command™ Brand Products without damaging the surfaces and re-use them year-after-year!
