Confession: I’m the queen of hot mess moms. No, seriously. I call myself that because even though I’m an empty nester now, I didn’t stop being a mom by any means. And I constantly forget important things… and I’m never on time… and I never cook enough… or clean enough…. or literally do anything like a sane person would.
Maybe it’s due to having Bipolar Disorder. Or maybe that’s just the beauty of being me. Either way, I just embrace my hot mess-iedness and go with it. Because why try to be something you’re not, right?
Which is exactly how I became a podcaster. I decided on a total whim when my friend Dawn said “HEY! We are SO funny!” (Side note: we totally are. We laugh until our faces hurt when we’re together.) “We should start a PODCAST!”
And so we did. Now, before you think it’s about decorating or cooking or creative Martha Stewart-ish kinda stuff, it’s not. It’s about being moms and embracing our every day hot mess nature. Which is why we named it the Hot Mess Moms Podcast.
Want to take a listen? On our first episode we’re talking about why perfection is overrated … can I get an amen?!?
New episodes will drop every Friday, so you can keep up to date with all our hot mess antics 😉
PS – I’d love to hear your Hot Mess stories – because we all have them!

Gina, your voice sounds very far away. You need to be closer to the microphone.

I really liked your podcast but it was really hard to hear you. Dawn came through loud and clear but it sound like you were talking in the background. Good luck with your future podcasts.

Gina,
You and your friend are great. Really loved your honesty. Thank you for helping ppl by letting them know that our lives aren’t perfect and we all have a commonality because we are all human and go through the same situations in life.

I loved this podcast. I couldn’t stop laughing. I try to do everything perfect and my daughter is totally opposite, so laid back, we drive each other mad. She treated me to a glass cutting event making Christmas ornaments. We could make 3 in 2 hrs. She starts with a heart and I’m having a bird thinking about it, the first thing she tackles with smiles, she had fun. Me, I’m making a penguin, straight lines and struggling as it’s not perfect. My daughter keeps smiling. She got all three of hers done. I got two done and one was so rushed cause I spent too much time being perfect on the first. The day I listened to your podcast and really laughed, she gave me the heart as a tree ornament. It’s beautiful. A lesson learned, it’s ok not being perfect. Thank you girls.

Awww, thanks so much Lesley!! Being not perfect is sooo much easier and way more fun!!
