Halloween cocktail : Black Widow Venom

What’s a party without a cocktail? I have no idea… because my parties always have them 🙂 So it’s appropriate that a Halloween party needs a Halloween cocktail. For parties, I either make pitchers of drink or serve shots – either is an easy way to entertain a crowd because either can be made before hand, so you can be enjoying the party and not stuck behind the bar. This spooky Halloween cocktail – Black Widow Venom – is perfect for either way you want to make it. And with only two simple ingredients, even if you run out you can whip up a batch in no time flat.

Halloween Cocktail : Black Widow Venom

Ingredients:

  • Whipped Cream Vodka
  • Grenadine

Directions:

  • In a pitcher (or a glass liquid measuring cup), mix together 3 parts Whipped Cream Vodka to one part Grenadine. To keep the ratio easy, that’s 3/4 cup vodka to 1/4 cup grenadine. That’s it.
  • Yes, I tried other flavors of vodka, but whipped cream really was the best. It gives it sort of a cherries and cream flavor that is yummy enough for a shot or to sip from a martini glass.

Want to get a little more creative? Gather up a bunch of thrift store candelabras and paint them black to hold the vials of shots. I found that the type of bottles I used would only fit if I removed the metal candle cup, so keep that in mind if your glass bottles won’t quite fit.

And don’t be surprised if they all disappear quickly… it’s really too good to be scared of – even if it is a Halloween cocktail!

A standard shot is what it calls for but you can make it stronger or weaker depending on your preference 🙂

    Looks very nice!
Question: did you use grenadine as a juice or the syrup from Monin?
