The opiate of the masses…

This post is part two of a series on Losing My Religion. You can find part one here. Religion is man-made, but faith is divine. That was the motto that I held onto for about 7 years when I was transitioning out of religion. Because walking away from religion isn't like quitting a job. I left religion so I could commune with the divine energy of the universe. When you have been born and raised into something, and the culture of that cult has permeated every single aspect of your life, ... continue reading...

Losing my religion

As a girl raised in a Southern Baptist church, I don't think I ever truly believed in the message they were peddling. I wanted to. I wanted to be the good girl. One that fit the description of a "good christian girl." Not because I wanted to get closer to God, but mostly so I could get closer to my own mama. I love my mom. She is the quintessential southern mom that bakes the cookies and gives the hugs and tells you she loves you. But like most parents of GenX kids, ya know, the ones who had ... continue reading...

The Enchanted Manor: Midnight Margaritas Hallway

Is there anything more magical than a margarita? Maybe a midnight margarita in the Practical Magic house? Since that house doesn't *really* exist, because technically it was a movie set, then I guess we're going to have to make do in my Practical Magic inspired 200 year old house, k? Writing is in my blood. Which is why it ... continue reading...

10 things I learned on the path to “Happily Ever After”

Once upon a time, what now feels like a long time ago, there was a girl who decided to start a blog. She was always a writer, a thinker, a creative and a very curious soul. With no clue where it would eventually take her, she decided to start a blog to be sort of a digital scrapbook to capture the memories of remodeling her childhood home alongside her husband and own children. The tales of transforming a shabby little cottage by the creek. Little did she know that one day would ... continue reading...

Hey there, I’m Gina!

I believe in the magic of soft living, finding joy in every day moments, and building a magical life from the inside out. I’ve spent the last 15+ years sharing my story online – through creativity, healing, and a little rebellious sparkle.

I’m a writer, dreamer, and witchy woman who believes your everyday life should feel enchanting.

Most days you’ll find me with paint on my hands, dirt under my nails, and a journal full of big dreams. I’m so glad you’re here.
