Easy Spinach Dip

Hello Shabby Creek readers! It’s Emily from The Benson Street here.

easy and delicious spinach dip is sure to be an instant hit at your party

I hope you enjoyed your holiday and are looking forward to enjoying the New Year. I know I love a good New Year’s party. It is always fun to get together with friends and share lots of yummy food. One of my most favorite appetizers to share is this delicious easy spinach dip.

easy spinach dip recipe

With just a few ingredients and 10 minutes, this spinach dip will be ready to go. Plus, it has spinach in it so it has some health benefits to it. Plus, this recipe is easy to customize to personal tastes. I love to add a little something special to my spinach dip. Some great add ins are red peppers, shredded carrots, water chestnuts, pretty much anything else you want to mix in.

The other great thing about spinach dip is that it can be served with so many sides. I always love it with french bread cut into cubes or on sourdough baguette bread. Make it a little more healthy and serve it with a veggie tray. Celery and carrot sticks are great for dipping. Or make it nice and easy by just grabbing a bag of tortilla chips. All would taste great.

Spinach Dip

Ingredients:
  • 10 oz. package of frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 pint of sour cream
  • 1 package of ranch dressing mix or 3 tablespoons of ranch dressing mix
  • extra veggies to add in: water chestnuts, carrots, peppers, etc.
Directions:

Thaw out spinach. If in a pinch you can defrost it in the microwave. I defrost mine for about 5 minutes and it is usually good.

Drain spinach using a strainer.

In a medium sized bowl mix spinach, sour cream, ranch dressing mix and veggies. Mix until all combined.

Serve in a bread bowl, or decorative dish with french bread, baguette bread, chips,  or veggies.

Enjoy!

Oh my, I’m not really a dip and/or spinach eater. But you make it look so good. I think I’ll try it out at our next potluck at work.
