My favorite gifts to both give and receive are Yankee Candles. There’s a reason they are America’s favorite candle, because of the quality. But the reason they’re my favorite is because I know they are so giving with charitable donations to both cancer research as well as military needs. But that’s not what this post is about – this is specifically how to create your own personalized Yankee Candle. Did you even know it’s a thing? I can think of a dozen different reasons to create them… so let’s take a look at how to do it.
First you’re going to need an image. This could be a family photo or a child’s drawing. Whatever photo or image you’d like to use, it can be applied to a label.
I used a drawing from my grandson so we could use them as a gift for his other grandmother. After he finished, I scanned it, put it into a photo editing program, then cleaned it up and cropped it to fit the label.
Now that you’ve got your image, visit the Yankee Candle website, where you’ll need to choose a candle size. There’s a few different sizes, ranging from the large jars to small tumblers – plus votives you can personalize with labels on the site.
Now comes the hardest part – choosing a scent. I chose Pink Sands, but with 15 scents to choose from, there’s something for everyone, but Candy Cane Lane is perfect for Christmas time.
Next comes the personalized part – uploading your image. You can use the crop tool to get the image just right, and the sample area shows how it will look on the label. After you have the image placed, you can add in two lines of text of your own choosing.
Then you’re done! Prices range from $33 and under, and the more you purchase the better the price. It would be a beautiful way to give clients or family members a gift that is totally unique.

Hey Jennifer,
I’m not quite sure I know what you are asking, can you let me know what you are trying to do?

The photo crop does not zoom out wide enough for my pic. Crops my photo too small.

Hey Stacey,
I used a photo editing software to get my image exactly right. I use Photoshop, if you don’t have it there is a free editing software called Picmonkey that can help you get it the right size. Good luck 🙂
