Welcome to Transformation Thursday! It’s the one day of the week we all get together to celebrate getting stuff done. No matter if you’ve been coming around for months (or years), or this is your very first transformation rodeo – everyone is welcome to link up your projects at the bottom of this post.
We did it! Well… we did the interior anyway – but I’m still excited to show it to you. We’ll get to the outside in a week or two, but I’ve put you in suspense far too long and the time has finally come. Remember what it looked like before. Pretty rough, huh? We ripped out the floors, walls, pretty much everything from top to bottom and put it all back together again.
Since I shared the office last week, you know it’s already looking better. I used the same black & white scheme for the entire space, because it is all one big room, after all.
Well here she is! The opposite end from my office I put a twin bed, daybed style. Works great if I have someone over to hang out, as well as plenty of room for a guest to be comfortable.
Mr. SCC took my advice to use some old spindles we had to use as braces for the shelves along the back wall – I ♥ their chippiness…
My friend Lindsay came over and helped me by decorating them. Didn’t she do a fabulous job? We went shopping yesterday and bought a few little things (that I’ll post more about next week), but almost everything she used was from my own collection. I love, love, LOVE her results!
Mr. SCC also build a bed frame, and we slid and extra mattress underneath to use as a trundle – great for when the kids have company over.
A little trunk in front (a gift from a friend I’ve had for years) made the perfect coffee table.
Other than the curtains, this little pillow was the only thing I made for the room. She turned out so cute!
Layers and layers of ruffles made a fluffy flower – just the perfect touch.
My friend Kristen at Ahoy Graphics made me some super cute printables of some of my favorite quotes for artwork. She even put them up as free downloads on her site. Besides Hemingway, she also did a Hepburn quote, and even one from Winnie the Pooh.
So whaddya think? It’s come a long way, eh? I hope Leslie has a blast when she comes to stay in a few short weeks :)
Sooooooo……. whatcha got? I wanna see – and so does everybody else! Please put your PERMALINK into the linky – and link back here so everyone can find all the great ideas. Please, please, PLEASE – pretty please DO NOT LINK TO A SHOP!!! Be sure to visit your neighbors and have fun – it is a party after all.
Welllllllll…………. Let’er rip, tater chip!
