On my rapidly growing shelf of books by bloggers I love, I've recently added Ana White's first book, The Handbuilt Home. Y'all know I loveeee building my own furniture. Well, I love it when Mr. SCC builds my furniture... but there's nothing greater than sitting in a hand built chair at a hand built table while talking to y'all every day. With more and more of our furniture being built in our own little barn, I think Mr. SCC was just as excited as I was to get this book in the mail.

With 34 projects, ranging from small ledges to kids stuff, and even larger pieces of furniture, there's literally something for every room of your house. The simple to follow instructions make it easy to build, even if you don't have a Mr. SCC floating around in your barn.

Which is a good thing, since mine is going to be busy building a version of this for our upcoming bathroom remodel. Yep, we're knocking that last room off our 2012 to-do list before Christmas. And it's gonna be awesome. Seriously. I can't wait to show you more. {But I guess I need to finish my living room first. Soooo many projects.... soooo little time. What's a girl to do?}
