Welcome to our 2016 Christmas tour! I’m joining a few friends today for the Home for the Holidays blogger tour, so if you’re stopping by from 2 Ladies and a Chair, welcome! And if you’ve been hanging around for a while, I’m so glad you stopped by. Either way – make sure you check out the bottom of this post for a great giveaway!
When I was a little girl, my favorite books were the Little House on the Prairie books. I read them over and over again, especially The Long Winter. Whenever we had a snow day, I’d curl up and read it cover to cover. So that was my inspiration for this year’s tour: winter in the woods.
Since we love curling up to a good marathon of Hallmark Christmas movies and lots of yummy food, I wanted to add a little coziness.
And it started with trees – LOTS of trees. I started with a gorgeous tree from King of Christmas and built our own little forrest, right in the comfort of our own living room.
And of course, all of the fun of winter had to be involved.
And maybe even a disco ball (or two!)
Some trees are flocked and some are not – and I’m not sure which I like more… what about you?
I tucked them in boxes and baskets and bins…. the more trees the merrier!
I even added a few on our dining room table as the centerpiece.
Living in the country most of my life, I can tell you that there’s moss everywhere – so it was only natural to add some in.
Since most of our decor was DIY this year, I’ve got a few tutorials coming next week, so stay tuned for a little holiday craftiness headed your way soon!
Want to win a tree to kick off your own holiday forrest? For our Home for the Holidays Blog Tour, King of Chrismas is kindly giving away one 7 foot flocked unlit tree to one lucky winner. Like you, I have several trees sprinkled around our tiny townhouse. This year, I’m into flocked trees. And looking into King of Christmas trees as well!
Good for you Liz, the more the merrier 🙂
Gina… I miss watching you on Periscope every day! I’ve learnt so much from you, you have no idea. Loved visiting your home decorated for Christmas and don’t know either if I prefer a tree flocked or not 🙂 I love both styles just as much,
Well done!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
XO

Love all the Christmas trees in your home! Although I have had a traditional artificial tree for yrs, I am loving the flocked ones this yr after seeing SO many pics on IG.
Thanks Delina, they are so pretty!
I also enjoy curling up on the couch but i am usually reading a good book and drinking a cup of hot chocolate. I live in the woods of northern New Hampshire and my tree will never look as good as yours.
Thanks Nancy! Don’t sell yourself short, just give it a try:)
Hi Gina!

I have to say this is the prettiest tour I’ve seen it’s beautiful!! How did you do the fireplace? I live in a manufactured home and I would love to have something so beautiful like your fireplace.
Thank you so much Jacqueline! We are actually getting ready to build a new fireplace and I will do a blog post on it so stay tuned 🙂
Love how you’ve brought so many “outdoorsy ” touches to your decor. Just lovely!
I love all the softness of your Christmas decor. So relaxing and peaceful. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thanks so much Rosann!
WOW! Great decorations.
Gina you have outdone yourself and it could not be more perfect. I adore all of trees, flocked and not. 🙂 xxoo
Gina,
What a beautiful job you have done!…..
I love all your trees together, they make such a great statement…. and ofcourse I love your teal pops of color! Thank you for always being so inspiring to all of us. Merry Christmas!
Alicia
Merry Christmas Gina! I love all of the trees. The wreathes on your chairs (are those new?) are adorable! You always get it ‘just right’.
Hey Ya’ll, and Happy Holidays! I love your simple, neat, and tidy Christmas decor. Some is so messy and overdone that I see. I have not even began my decorating, shame shame on me. Seeing your home gives me a lil’ push to get my fanny in gear and football season is ,what I consider, over for now, so I have no excuse for sitting in front of the tv every weekend, Haha , so” Roll Tide Roll and Merry Christmas to Ya’ll”
Beautiful! I love all of the trees on display! They are a weakness of mine, and I had to scale back this year, because I would have looked like the crazy tree lady if not, lol! Happy Holidays!
I’ve been reading your blog for years. Your holiday home is gorgeous. May have to try your moss wreath tutorial! Would ❤️ to win the tree. Happy Holidays!!
I love your style.
Your decor is beautiful.
Those mini trees are so cute. I have to start collecting some as on the hearth they would be so amazing!

I love your simple, yet elegant taste in decorations. The addition of just a bit of turquoise gives the perfect pop of color. Thanks for the tour!
You are so sweet Margie! Thank you so much 🙂
I too have a forest. I have over 50 trees that I keep up all year long in a loft that actually hide my Rubbermaid storage boxes.
Wow Cheryl! Good for you 🙂
Love your theme and all of the trees! Have a great holiday season.
Thank you so much and the same to you and yours!
Love the stockings and the gathering of trees!
Thanks so much Qwen, so happy you like it 🙂
Gina, I love this post so much! My favorite is how you used two trees right next to each other!! I love that idea. I am going to copy that next year! And I also love the wreathes on the chairs!
Gina: Love the sofa and chair in this article. Who is the manufacturer?
Thanks Karen, it was a long time ago but they are from Wayfair 🙂
