It’s been quite some time since I’ve shared a home tour, so today I’ve gathered up a few of my friends for a Summer Tour of Homes, farmhouse style!
It’s been a couple of years since I hosted the Summer Tour of Homes, so some spaces look similar, while others have been given a complete overhaul. Like our living room.
After years of putting it off over and over again, we finally took the time to rip out all the old (read: gross) carpet, remove our non-functional fire place, as well as just give everything a fresh farmhouse vibe.
We re-used the pieces we loved, updated a few that we liked, and bought a couple of new things we absolutely love.
Our sofa was a Pottery Barn outlet find from a few years ago, and our old coffee table got a facelift with a bit of paint. The sofa table was a DIY that’s insanely easy.
Speaking of paint, our ceiling fan got a fresh coat of the same white paint as the coffee table. The new (to us) buffet and the church pew was brought back to life with a little elbow grease and leftover paint.
That pew had seen better days. It needed a lot of TLC (I’ll share the whole process soon). Honestly the whole time we worked on it, I just kept thinking about all the hundreds of people who must have prayed there over the years. So bringing it back to life just felt right, ya know?
Want to see a bit around the rest of the house? Here’s a peek into our bedroom…
And into our kitchen….

Gina, thanks so so much for including me in your summer tour! Your home looks just like you! Fun, fabulous and tons of style! My very favorite is your dishwasher! Now, that is so cool!
I’m thinking about planking the ceiling of a room and yours looks amazing!!!!
Wow, my friend – your home is gorgeous! I knew you that you are an aqua loving girl and you’ve done a fantastic job of sprinkling it throughout your home. Thank you SO much for including me in the summer tour. It was a lot of fun and I’ve already gained lots of inspiration from the others on the tour.
Beautiful home as always, Gina! You know what I totally geeked out the most about though? Your Walking Dead book. Haha! My brother and sister-in-law work on the set of that show and it is just the coolest thing ever. Thank you so much again for inviting me along for this tour!
Gina, your house is so pretty. Thank you for this tour, I’m enjoying all the posts.
Thank you so much Sue, you are so sweet π
Your home is very nice! I love the pops of turquoise blue. The jars on top of the cabinet make for a great decoration, but how do you reach them?? I would need a permanent stool in my kitchen!
Thanks so much Diane! Yes, there is a step ladder, LOL π
I just love your color palette! The turquoise colors really pop everywhere — especially on the curtains! And that sectional looks like the perfect spot to curl up with a book. π
Thanks so much Megan! I love your idea about curling up with a book π
Beautiful as always! I especially love your side table basket and all the pops of pretty blue! Thanks so much for sharing your lovely home.
Wow, you have a gorgeous living room. I love the color and pieces of decor and furniture. I love it and thanks for sharing.

So pretty! Can you share where you found the large basket you’re using as a side table? I love it!
Thanks Angie! Oh, that basket!!! I totally lucked out and found it an adorable vintage shop near Nashville…It was less than $100.00, quite a bit less actually π I’m so glad you like it…I love it!!
WOW…. I love the farmhouse vibe!!! The sofa table is gorgeous !!!! Well …. really everything is !!!!! Thank you for sharing … and I especially loved the remarks you made about that beautiful pew!!!!!

You and me both Krista! Thanks so much π
Oh, Gina. Yours home is to die for. Such talent. I’m gonna pinch a few ideas for my studio (I see splashes of aqua in my future). Thank you for sharing!
So lovely – makes me want to buy a cottage just to decorate it! Can I ask where the polka dot bedding came from?
Thanks Lynn π The sheets came from Homegoods…one of my favorite places!
