The little kitchen in the corner

A few weeks ago, I was given an amazing gift from Big Chill – a brand new refrigerator for my little kitchen in the studio. And it’s turquoise. They get me, they really get me. It was in our original plans to create a little kitchen-ish nook (because we don’t have running water in there), but honestly after going wayyyy over budget on the project there just wasn’t funds left to outfit it with a new refrigerator. Which is why I was uber stoked when Big Chill sent me one.

After we unboxed this beauty, it was brought into the studio where it found a home happily ever after. But a fridge in a corner by itself didn’t really make a kitchen, so we added in a little more to make it all the functional for our every day needs. And in just a couple of hours we had a space that helps out so much when we use the studio for family dinners.

Since this is more of a snack & drink area than a full throttle kitchen, we didn’t need a ton of storage for things, just a bit here and there to keep things neat & tidy. (And yes, there’s definitely ice cream in that freezer – haha!)

easy little kitchen in an afternoon - great idea for an office

Other than the Big Chill Refrigerator – this little white kitchen island from Target is really all we needed. {PS – that’s my affiliate link} Of course, I did add in a few accessories I already had, along with a bargain store rug & some Ikea goodies, too.

In about an hour, we had a pretty little kitchen that just makes my aqua-loving heart happy. (Because that fridge is so pretty!)

Want to see how excited I was to open it up? I unboxed it live over on my Facebook page and had a blast!

Thanks again to Big Chill for sending me this awesome gift!

I adore the blue fridge! I was in an old apt. that had a blue stove. So cool. And the clean, crisp white table next to it. Love the look.

Gina, That kitchen display photo was posted by friend Deb on FB. When I saw it. It jumped right out and captured me. I LOVE that turquoise Fridge. I love the simple clean and uncluttered look. I am in the process of planning a re-do on my kitchen and bathroom. When I saw this I got a real warm and happy feeling. Thanks for sharing.

I have loved seeing all the houses, rooms, and the things in them. But I am wondering why you are so much of it. Have you been in all these houses?
