Give a metal bucket planter a little kick of quirk with this super simple makeover – and you can do it in under 5 minutes!
Hello there, spring! I *think* it may be here to stay….. but the weather is pretty much as bipolar as I am at this point – so who actually knows??!? But, either way, I’m ready for a little greenery & some spring inspiration – so I’m joining a few of my friends today for a whole bunch of DIY planter ideas!
My galvanized tub planter is kind of a cheat – because I gave it a little farmhouse charm in literally less than five minutes (including clean up!) I started with a metal bucket I picked up at the Nashville Flea Market a few years ago – and then added on a little Chalk Couture for a bit of farmhouse charm <3

For the metal bucket planter itself, it’s pretty simple: Apply the transfer to the bucket – making sure it’s down nice and secure, then squeegee the paste on top, remove the transfer (and clean it immediately!) Then you’re done. It’s seriously that easy.
And… because it’s chalk paste – it literally wipes right off with a wet cloth so you could change out the design with whatever transfer and color, whenever you want! It’s so easy – and commitment free 🙂
You can create this look faster than you can set up a Circuit or Silhouette – watch the video below:
