Once upon a time (about 3 years ago) I bought a sweet little cabinet at Goodwill for $13. That cabinet has seen a couple of coats of paint and a whole lot of use in that time, but I wanted to really bring it to life and turn it into the striking piece it should have always been. It's a simple little cabinet, but it works great, has a classic look that I don't think I'll ever tire of, and fits perfectly in about 99 places in my home. Small Kitchen Makeover on a Budget
If the old saying "the kitchen is the heart of the home" is true, then it bleeds over to my blog. I started this blog during the original kitchen makeover we did five years ago. It was our very first big DIY job, and although there were parts of it that we loved, we also noticed tons of mistakes. I quit asking for advice from everyone under the ... continue reading...
get this look: budget eat in kitchen nook
Seeing dreamy space in magazines is a love/hate kinda thing for me. I love to look at them, yet hate to think about how much money it took to create that look. After getting so many sweet comments about our eat in area in our kitchen, I wanted to share how to get this look (and for much less money than you'd think!) Easy Barstool Makeover
Hi Shabby Creek friends, it's Christine from First Home Love Life and I'm back at Gina's today to share this quick, cheap and easy barstool makeover! We've painted, added faux brick to the walls (oh yeah, I'm bringing the 70's back y'all!!), white washed it, and now we're working on doing the built-ins. Originally, I was going to do a window ... continue reading...
Christmas porch decorating ideas
Porch decorating ideas is a whole new world for me. We just completed our front porch and side deck a few months ago, and I'm slowly putting together our outdoor spaces so we can enjoy them. Although this year it's been a bit colder than in years past, we still hang out here as much as we can. Sprucing up the space for Christmas was kinda fun! As part of the Blogger Stylin' Home Tours with The White Buffalo Styling Co. this year, I'm really excited to share just how far we've come. If ... continue reading...
