The Look For Less: Industrial Style Metal Bar Stools

the look for less metal bar stools
Woo hoo – it’s Friday! That means it’s time for another TL4L. This week I’m lusting after industrial style metal barstools. Let’s see if we can find them on the cheap, m’kay?

hudson goods industrial metal bar stool This was my inspiration for the week. Just look at it…. sigh… Ain’t it a beaut? I found it at Hudson Goods with a not so good price tag of $275. I mean, it’s awesome and all, but at that price it would cost over $1100 to have a set of 4.

industrial style metal bar stool sundance  The next on the list is this version from Sundance. I actually like the brushed metal a little better, and if you look closely you can see a little more detail in the seat that I kind of love – a hole that acts as a handle to move it. I dunno why, but I’m really diggin’ that detail! However, I’m not diggin’ the price. It is a little better, at $225, but that’s still $900 for a set of 4.

metal industrial barstool from wayfair So this version from Wayfair isn’t really my favorite, but at $173.98 for a set of 2 of them, it’s not a horrible option. Since Joss & Main pulls their stock from Wayfair, I’m pretty sure you might be able to find these on there if you are patient and wait. This particular design is just kinda meh for me. I don’t hate it, but I certainly don’t love it. But, for a set of 4, it would run you about $350.

industrial style bar stools from Overstock And finally, I think we have our winner: This version from Overstock. You can’t really see it in this image, but from the other images on the page, I know that there is that coveted “handle hole” in the top of the seat. And I’m diggin’ the finish as well! And the price – oh it’s pretty good – at $99 for a set of 2! And remember that everything on Overstock ships for $2.95, so the shipping ain’t gonna break the bank, either! So a set of 4 of them will run about $200 – which is a STEAL, especially compared to the others here.

I know, I know… you can find these second hand. I’ve actually found one that was somewhat simliar – but it was still nearly $20. Sometimes ya just gotta splurge on something fantastic, ya know?

So… that’s it for TL4L this week. Are you searching to find something on the cheap? Leave me a note in the comments and I’ll try to sniff out the best deal!

The Overstock stools are a great value. I bought a set of the red ones myself, but they were too tomato-red for me, and I needed more of a cherry red. Plus my husband and son complained they were too small (whatever), so I returned them. I end up with the blue Lyons industrial stools you showed above. They are not a bad price, and they have a bigger seat than the Tolix-style stools (like the Overstock ones). I wish they were a little more turquoisey, but I still am super-happy with them. Here they are in my kitchen:
