This sheet music desk was super easy to do - and it was almost just as easy to sell! I was shocked that it sold from my booth (in my booth selling days) in under an hour after I put it in. Crazy, huh? Afterwards I had a few people ask how I did the sheet music desk, so I thought I'd show you how. Once upon a time, when we were up in Minnesota, we stumbled upon a local thrift shop. Although the prices were a little high, I did find a few affordable pieces, including this desk – a steal for ... continue reading...
Painted Paris Postmark Bar Stool
While we were in Minnesota last week, we stumbled upon a couple of my favorite places in the whole wide world: Goodwill & a local thrift shop. Oh how I love a good thrift store. I found this little bar stool for $4, which I thought was a good deal. It’s sturdy & the perfect height for a small side table or a stool – so I snatched it up (along with a few other goodies that I’ll share next week.) It's pretty simple to make - but it does take a bit of patience. However it really was one of the prettiest things I made to order, and after I stopped selling them people started asking how I made them. So that's what I'm sharing... how to make the flower pillow. *this post contains affiliate links* Flower Pillow Tutorial Supply list: muslin ... continue reading...
a beachy kinda porch makeover
Almost 2 years ago the girls & I built this little porch for Mr. SCC. We did it on a shoestring budget of $200, and had a blast. We spend a huge chunk of time out here, hanging out, eating, reading, I even blog & work on Etsy stuff out here when the weather is right. Although we love the space, we never really liked the railing or color. With a $5 bunch of spindles & some $10 oops paint, it was definitely a “use what you have” project. After we went to ... continue reading...
